21st Annual General Meeting of the Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA), WP & Selangor, Shah Village Hotel, Petaling Jaya - 2.30pm, 22 March 2008

The 21st Annual General Meeting of BCWA was held on 22 March 2008 at Shah Village Hotel, Petaling Jaya.

Seventy seven members turned up despite the heavy downpour that afternoon. The formalities of the AGM were concluded smoothly and then, it was election time! The Executive Committee was elected for the 2008 to 2010 term.

The following were elected:-

President:

Executive Director:
Barbara Khoo Gaik Suan

Honorary Secretary:
Chin Keat Yue

Treasurer:
Siew Mei Quin

Committee Members:
Tammy Tam
Wong Mee Yee
Azizah Wayat

BCWA Committee 2008-2010

The newly elected council held their first meeting while the rest of the members helped themselves to high tea!

3 more members were co-opted into the committee and there were those also nominated for committee members during the election. They were Margaret Lee, Lee Fay Ling and Ang Siew Lan.

The group making the most joyful noise came from the very motivated Pink Challengers (dragon boat racing team) – no doubt all that training at rowing had created a bond amongst the members.

The meeting adjourned at 5pm.
