UICC celebrates breast cancer awareness month (UICC Press Release 2005)

"This is a significant month for women living with breast cancer, spreading messages of reassurance and hope and a reminder that we are not alone in this battle," says Ranjit Kaur of Malaysia, President of UICC's Reach to Recovery International breast cancer support network.

"Our personal experience of breast cancer is indeed a social issue. Every woman battles through her disease so as to bounce back to life, striving to be once more part of an inclusive society."
