Dr Evelyn Ho is a practicing Consultant Clinical Radiologist in a private specialist medical centre Kuala Lumpur. She was Past-President of the College of Radiology, Malaysia (2006-2010) and had served actively on the council (2000-2011). She helmed the official website of the College of Radiology from inception in 2001 till 2014. She sat on the writing committee of the 1st and 2nd Consensus Statements on the Utilisation of Cardiac CT (2008-2015) and was also involved in the 1st and 2nd editions of the Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Breast Cancer in Malaysia (2002 & 2010).
She has been a council member of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia since 2006, and was Bursar in 2014-2016. On the regional level, she has been a council member of the Asian Oceanian Society of Radiology (AOSR) since 2008, and Honorary Treasurer of the AOSR in 2014-2016. She is a member of the regional committee (Asia/Oceania) of the International Advisory Committee (International Affairs), Radiological Soceity of North America.
Dr. Evelyn Ho’s other interests extend from breast health advocacy to end-of-life care and social entrepreneurship in radiology. She ran the College of Radiology’s Value Added Mammogram Programmes in 2001-2012. A reviewer for Malaysian medical journals, Dr. Evelyn Ho authored a chapter ‘Bridging the Radiological Healthcare Divide with Social Entrepreneurship’ in the book “Radiological Safety and Quality in Radiology: Paradigms in Leadership and Innovation”, 2014 (Ed: Lawrence Lau & Kwan-Hoong Ng. Springer).
Her other community and healthcare contributions include multiple talks, lectures, workshops, authoring a book (The Art of Being Breast Aware) and organising a variety of public awareness programmes. She received the inaugural Novartis-Malaysian Breast Cancer Council Award 2005 for leadership in breast cancer advocacy.
